D.A.R.E.

Drug Awareness Resistance Education

Sheriff Allen started the D.A.R.E. program in 1988. It was one of the first in the state and has operated continuously ever since.

Each year D.A.R.E. is taught to over 400 fifth graders throughout the county. D.A.R.E. teaches students the different ways to say "no" to peers on drugs.

Lt. Freddie Paxton has worked in the D.A.R.E. Program for the past seven years.
