The Anson County Sheriff’s Office currently has three K-9s in its K-9 Program. They are fairly young dogs, but with a lot of experience. The unit includes one German Shepherd and two Belgian Malinois.
All K-9s are multi-trained in drug detection, evidence retrieval, tracking, apprehension and officer protection. These dogs are available 24/7 to assist Sheriff’s Deputies and any other law enforcement agency in the area.
